Heads up: your operating system is irrelevant

I hate to break it to you, but with the growing maturity of the Internet your operation system is becoming less and less relevant. With services like Google’s Docs, Apple’s MobileMe, and Microsoft’s upcoming cloud operating system, individuals and businesses are moving their workflows onto the web where your operation system is no longer relevant.

As a web developer and a new Mac OSX user I thought I would still spend most of my time in Windows due to familiarity but I now am using them in a 50/50 split and rarely notice differences (except for Mac OSX crashes of course, wink wink!).

I always chuckle at the Mac VS. Windows commercials because the day of the operating system has come and gone.
