The Social Media Expert

Social media marketing is becoming larger and larger and some folks have started to take advantage of companies looking to jump into Facebook or MySpace. They are called “social media experts” and there are a lot of them out there looking to make a quick buck.

With social media marketing being a relatively new concept these so called “experts” pounce upon the naivety of companies searching for any way to get seen on social networks.

The problem is, it’s not just about getting in, it’s about the execution and the thought process. Is what you are doing relevant to your target market? Is there an applicable every day use? Where do you want to drive traffic, in store, online, or both?

Before spending in the social media market (or really any market for that matter) you need to ask questions and not jump in blindly. Social media is great, but not the end all, be all for everyone.
