Super Bowl statistics are staggering. The average audience for this single live television event in the US is more than 90 million viewers. According to the NFL, some 1 billion people in about 230 countries tune into the Super Bowl. Every Super Bowl is identified by Roman numerals—this year it’s XLII (42). The NFL produces so much merchandise emblazoned with the annually created Super Bowl logo that it fills an online store.
